Triple Threat Blog Hop

Hoppy Wednesday web travelers and welcome to my little nook of the world. I got to play with all these fabulous products. As I have not done a scrapbook page in quite some time I opted to dabble in my rusty paper crafting roots. I think I remembered why I strayed from scrapbooking...I always feel such a responsibility to say the perfect thing and have everything perfect, it is for others to see for generations to come therefore a great responsibility to get it right! Sometimes I think to much about these things.

So we move on to the project this strapping mustache wearing man is my dad. He was quite a traveler back in the day. I gave him a destinations peg board made of DCWV cork sheets. Layered circle maps, license plates, tickets, corrugated board and cork all at different levels.

On Newstands NOW! Sew it All Volume 8

Extra Extra Sew it All volume 8 on newsstands today! Another beautiful cover that just so happens to include my project (my 4th cover, not that I am counting). This issue actually holds all the information to create not one but TWO Jennifer Davey originals.

This fun Sewing Journal will keep all your favorite notions in the zipper pouch as well as your project planning notes and pattern pieces.  All the vital steps can be found starting on page 40 and the pattern can be printed here.

And this fun white board on the go for your little artiest.  "Doodle pad" will hold a dry erase pen and two custom white board surfaces. For the project instructions see the issue and for the templates and patterns click here.

Both of these projects were created using Anna Griffin Fabrics such fun bold prints. Thanks Anna for all your fabulous fabrics!

I hope you enjoy.

Art Anthropology/ Basically Bare Blog Hop

Welcome welcome! I had such fun playing with Art Anthology and Basically Bare. As a quick reminder go don't forget to make comments on both ....sites for your chance to win one of 3 prizes up for grabs of: 1 spool and $25 worth of good each for Art Anthology & Basically Bare.  Winners announced Monday.

It is always fun to get outside my box and let my work flow in a new direction.
After stamping on a cork sheet I covered the face of the album to make it feel like a bulletin board. Since I was already stamping on non traditional surfaces I stamped on canvas to make a measuring tape as well (although if you have a little 413-34-07 Tape Measure that would be even easier!)

I am totally excited to keep this project planning and pattern theme going in this fun album.
I spray dyed the while silk ribbon using Coloration Spray, soo simple spray and let dry. For a more even color moisten your ribbon first then spray it will obsorb more evenly, I kinda dig the ombre chambray look that I achieved.
Here is what I used.

May Arts:
1 1/4-inch Silk Ribbon - SK01 - WHITE
5/8-inch Lace Ribbon - 390-58-09 - IVORY

Basically Bare Just Chippy Dress form

Ink:  Delecata Silver Shimmer
Stazon Jet Black and St Valentine
